A Presentation Associate is a woman or man who shares in the Presentation vision, mission, and spirituality and has bonds with the Congregation without being called to vows.

WHY PRESENTATION SISTERS INVITE PRESENTATION ASSOCIATES

We believe:

  • That, as Presentation Sisters, we must collaborate with other women and men in responding to the universal baptismal call to the mission of Jesus and the Church to build God’s Kingdom of peace and justice through love and service, especially to the poor.
  • That all are called to unity in diversity: There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism....
  • That all are called to use their gifts for the common good
  • That we can extend the mission and ministry of the Presentation charism through gifts of women and men who are bonded with us but not vowed members of our congregation
  • That we are responding to Nano Nagle’s charism, “If I can be of service in saving souls in any part of the world, I would willingly do all in my power.”
  • That we might support and encourage women and men who feel called to serve the Church through a closer association with us as Fargo Presentation Sisters.
  • That we are responding to the ways the Holy Spirit is working in our Church and in our PBVM congregation.
  • That we are to recognize that the charism that we hold in common with Nano Nagle is also found in men and women not called to vowed membership with Presentation Sisters.

We are living in a culture of war and violence.  The Sisters and Presentation Associates are making a concentrated effort to focus on issues of peace by being peace and doing peace.  Our society is fractured and disillusioned. Peace is not just the absence of war.  The model of the Sisters and Associates is to do “What Needs To Be Done”, by raising awareness and consciousness through peace curriculums, forums and gatherings; through prayer and meditation; and by preparing ourselves to be witnesses to the world.  Peace must begin within ourselves. A strong interior life is essential - what we think, we become.  Listen. Study. Pray.

WHY BE A PRESENTATION ASSOCIATE

  • To respond to a call, an inner longing to more deeply share in Christ’s mission by being bonded with the Presentation Sisters and Associates.
  • To collaborate with the Presentation Sisters and Association in the mission of Jesus.
  • To share in the vision, goals, mission, and ministry of the Presentation Sisters and Associates.
  • To extend the Presentation spirit, charism, hospitality, and service.
