The LANTERN is a special symbol of the Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Presentation foundress, Nano Nagle was known to go out into the cold, rainy, dark nights in Ireland to minister to the needs of the poor. In her day, the lantern symbolized the light of her self-giving love. She was a light that guided many people through the dark hours of their lives. Today, the Sisters continue to aspire to be that light for the people they serve.
