CASUAL CONNECTIONS

There are a variety of ways to join in the life and ministry of Presentation Sisters in a casual way.  They include:

• Volunteering, retreats reflection and discussion evenings, or joining a mission trip.  The Presentation Prayer Center is also available for quiet times away or scheduled retreats.
   

MORE SERIOUS DISCERNMENT

Someone interested in moving beyond casual connections and feels a call for more serious discernment toward religious life would do well to consider:

• Spiritual Direction — Several spiritual directors are available through Presentation Prayer Center or inquire with the Prayer Center for other options.
• Meeting with the vocation director for personal assistance in discernment regarding religious life
• Joining others discerning religious life for regular reflection and discussion evenings
• Visiting several religious communities — Religious communities are, by virtue of their charisms very different from each other.  It may be important for you to visit several communities in order to find the community which most resonates with you.  The vocation director can help you get in touch with vocation directors from other religious communities.

CANDIDATE

The earlier stages of contact with the community allow not only for the woman to become acquainted with the community, but for the community to get to know her. If both she and the community find that this community might be a very good fit, she is invited to begin the application process during which time she has regular contact with the community and is invited to participate in community events.

Vocation according to Frederic Buechner is “the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep need meet”.
