Sister Bernadette Trecker, formerly a longtime elementary teacher, now offers keyboard instruction at Presentation Music Studio in Fargo, ND. Currently
she is giving piano lessons to some thirty students, including four adult students.
In 2005, Sister completed music studies earning a minor in music from MSUM of Moorhead, MN. The music minor included a yearlong piano pedagogy course offered at VCSU in Valley City, ND.
As an accompanist for over twenty years, Sister Bernadette currently plays the piano, organ and guitar for the liturgies at Sacred Heart Convent. She plans the liturgies and accompanies one week of each month.
In the summertime Sister continues her longstanding pastoral outreach to the Migrant families in the Grafton area of North Dakota. This work is on behalf of the Diocese of Fargo.
Sister recently became a board member of the local association of MTNA (Music Teachers National Association).
