Prior to 1991 I served in health care
where I was a Lab and X-Ray Technician and Nurses Aide. My first mission was at St. Ansgar’s Hospital, Park River, ND from Aug. 1956 to Sep. 1958 and Aug. 1981 - Jul. 1982
Other facilities where I have
ministered include St. Joseph’s Hospital, Grafton, ND from Sep. 1958 to Aug. 1960 & Aug. 1966 to Dec. 1968, St. Mary’s Hospital, Langdon, ND from Aug. 1960 to Aug. 1966.
I attended Alexandria Technical School in Minnesota 1968 - 1969 and interned at St. Francis, Crookston, MN January - June, 1970 after which I spent 19 years working at City Hospital, New
Rockford, ND (Aug. 1970 - Jul. 1981 and Sep. 1983 - Apr. 1991.
Due to ill health and the closing of City Hospital in February 1991, I moved to Sacred Heart Convent, Fargo, ND. On August
31, 1991, I began my ministry at Riverview Place, a retirement facility south of Fargo (our former convent). There I helped with laundry, washing, stacking, and putting away dishes and setting
tables for evening meals. When time allowed, I also enjoyed visiting with residents. In November, 2001, more ill health caused me to discontinue my work at Riverview Place.
I am currently in charge of the dishwashing room at the convent. I also help the retired Sisters in our infirmary with letter writing and other errands. I also enjoy visiting with them.
