My teaching career began in 1942 when I taught art at St. Mary’s Grade School, and ended by teaching art in Fargo’s four Catholic grade schools from 1971 to 1975. After majoring in
Home Economics and Biology, I taught one year in Langdon, North Dakota and five years in New Rockford, North Dakota.
From there I moved to Fargo, North Dakota and taught at Shanley High School. For five years I was assigned to our group home, Villa Nazareth, and for another five years, I did clerical work at our New Rockford Hospital. I experienced the sad closings of both Villa Nazareth in Fargo and St. James High School in New Rockford. After eleven years in part-time ministry for St. Mary’s Parish in Park River, North Dakota, I retired to Sacred Heart Convent in 1998. Presently I help when and where I can and enjoy the extra time for reading, corresponding, painting greeting cards, knitting and, of course, praying for friends, relatives and the many needs of our world.
