Prior to becoming a spiritual director, Sister Petronilla taught in several schools including St. Mary's and St. Anthony's elementary schools, Shanley High School in Fargo and was principal-teacher at St. Alphonsus School in Langdon, North Dakota.
       After these years of teaching children and young adults, Sister became Director of Adult Religious Education in Langdon, the Diocesan Office in Grand forks and at Blessed Sacrament Parish in West Fargo, North Dakota.
       Sister was then elected President of her Congregation , an office she held for six years, after which she took a sabbatical and studied at Regis College in Toronto for a year. She took a year of preparation and training for retreat work at The Cenacle in Wayzata, Minnesota, under the direction of the Cenacle sisters.
       She was the first chaplain of Spiritual Services at Riverview Place in Fargo and held that position for ten years.
       Throughout her years of ministry, she served on the various Boards of the sponsored institutions.
         Today, Sister Petronilla is Spiritual Director at Presentation Prayer Center. Her ministry calls her to walk with men and women who desire a deeper relationship with God, others who are tyring to build right relationships witht the people around them and yet others who are just trying to make sense out of their life experiences.
       Sister Petronilla speaks of having lived a full life and is grateful to all those people who have influenced her in one way or another to become who she is today!
