Music brings the gift of joy and happiness. Sr. Bernadette helps give this gift of music through piano keyboard instruction at Presentation Music Studio where she caringly fosters the discipline needed to learn to make music.

The Studio includes space for recitals. There is AMPLE PARKING

ResumeSister Bernadette, a Presentation Sister, has served as Church organist, guitarist and pianist for over 20 years and now also serves as an independent piano teacher.
She received a Music Minor Degree with Moorhead State University. She trained in music with university studies of a piano teaching course at Valley City State University.
She has the experience of being an Elementary teacher in Catholic parochial schools for over 25 years.
Sister shares her love of music and experience of teaching with her students.

Sister Bernadette’s CURRICULUM includes: Technique developing use of fingers, wrist and arm; practice of scales, chords, cadencesd arpeggios
Sight-reading regular sight-reading activities
Transposition experience in playing pieces in others keys (examples playing in
the key of C verses the key of G)
Improvisation, Composition fostering individual music creativity
Music History, Style, Interpretation appreciating composers and their styles
Music Theory ear training, rhythm, harmony, note recognition, etc.
Repertoire experience of classical, jazz, blues, ragtime, popular, sacred, contemporary, and sacred styles
Memorizing encouraging a memorized repertoire
